About Us

On a hilltop in rural Virginia stands our family's farmhouse and home of Homestead Glow. My name is Katelyn, I am a wife, mother of two girls, neonatal nurse and founder of Homestead Glow.  I understand that life has a way of keeping us busy and for me, burning a candle adds a stillness and happiness to my day. Candles have the ability to center and elevate any space. I am passionate about creating fragrances that are warm, inviting, calming, fun and uplifting.  Our candles are made with pure soy wax, cotton wicks, essential oils and fragrance oils that are free of parabens, phthalates and are animal friendly. Each candle has the perfect size wick to help prevent tunneling and have a plentiful "hot throw" that will fill your space with fragrance.  Candles are hand poured in small batches in the heart of our home, somewhere between play time and naps! Our unique candle fragrances and names are created from family memories and experiences that we hold dear to our hearts and want to share with you. 

While the candles are being poured inside, outside my husband, Trent is building beautiful farmhouse tables and benches for you to add to your home. While our main focus is candle making, we are always so excited to support fellow small businesses by finding and adding beautiful home decor and accessories available to purchase at our instore location in Glen Allen VA.
